TAKE PINHOLE IMAGES WITH OUR PRE-LOADED CAMERAS, THEN DEVELOP YOUR IMAGES IN OUR UNIQUE HORSEBOX DARKROOM.
PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY ENCOURAGES YOU TO BREATHE, PAUSE, AND BE TRULY PRESENT IN A SINGLE MOMENT. CAMERAS ARE MADE FROM CARDBOARD TUBES LOADED WITH VINTAGE PHOTO SENSITIVE PAPER. WITH NO VIEWFINDER EACH IMAGE IS A LEAP INTO THE UNKNOWN. PINHOLE EXPOSURES LAST UPWARDS OF TWENTY SECONDS, SO A PINHOLE IMAGE DOESN'T JUST DOCUMENT A LOCATION, IT ABSORBS TIME.

THE TRUE MAGIC HAPPENS IN THE DARKROOM, WHERE YOU WITNESS YOUR IMAGE EMERGE IN THE DEVELOPING TRAY.
WELL LIT PHOTO CLUB PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY POPS UP AT FESTIVALS AND SPECIAL OCCASIANS BRINGING AN INCLUSIVE CREATIVITY FOR ATTENDEES, WITH EACH PINHOLE PARTICIPANT ADDING TO A GROWING COMMUNITY GALLERY OF THE EVENT.

Well Lit Photo Club bringing Traditional Photography to Boomtown Festival
With over 77,000 attendees, Boomtown is one of the UKs biggest festivals.
Boomtowners took pinhole exposures with our pre-loaded cameras, each image captured a moment in time with exposures lasting 20 seconds or more. Some Boomtowners waited 2 days to capture their perfect moment.
Our unique DIY Lego Large Format camera ensured portraiture was fun and spontaneous, taking over 150 portraits on a variety of vintage photo papers.

Our workshops bring creativity, heritage, and traditional photography directly to young people. To date, we've worked with over 400 school pupils, and in 2027 we plan to bring pinhole photography workshops to 150 more kids.
Well Lit Photo Club work with schools and community groups to deliver free traditional photography workshops.
